SAURON (Holanda)

SauroN resurrected from the ashes of former black metal bands Melech and the unholy Satyr project in '96. The line-up was completed in '97 and the first demotape 'Death...Tyranny...War...Blasphemy' was recorded and released in '99.
Eight months after this release, anno 2000, the self financed four track mCD "True Hate Embodiment" was recorded and released (Recorded and mixed at Double Noise studios Tilburg, mastered at Harrow studios, Losser (NL)).
This mCD resulted in a mini-tour with Carpathian Forest, Destroyer666 and Urn through the Netherlands (2001). Opening the No Mercy fest 2002, and several other gigs with international acts. Many words of praise are heard in the worldwide press. Eventually a deal with USA based 'Dark Horizon Records' became a fact.

Anno 2003, debut Full-length 'Universe Of Filth' (Recorded, mixed & mastered at Excess studios [Rotterdam, NL]) sees the darkness of this globe trough Dark Horizon Records. Releasedate: 13th of February 2003.
The release immediately resulted in an exclusive gig with Satyricon and Khold at the Groene Engel venue (NL) on the 15th of february 2003.
On the 12th of August 2003 'True Hate Embodiment' was re-released by Macabre Operetta productions from Holland on 7" vinyl. This item has new artwork and will be limited. (333 pcs.)
In 2004 SauroN signed a new deal with Dutch 'Neurotic Records'. The second full-length 'For a Dead race' (again recorded at Double Noise studios, Tilburg and mastered at Harrow studios, Losser NL), scheduled for release 21-10-2004, is the 'blackest and sickest' release so far. The sound is more pure, the vocals sicker, the songs better structured and the dedication to black metal has become more audible. Several live attacks trough Europe follow upon this release.
In July 2004 a cover from the almighty Bathory namely 'The rite of Darkness', from the album 'The Return...' was recorded for a tribute Gatefold LP titled: 'A Tribute From the Hordes to Bathory-From the Underground...For the Underground.', to be released on Black Goat Productions later in 2005. This became August 2006
2005 is also the year SauroN's working on a split 7" with Fluisterwoud. This release has been delayed several times and was spawned upon humanity in July 2006. Limited to 187 gatefold copies featuring a new track and the sickest 'Satanic Blood' (Von) cover ever.
2006 also marks the year of another deal, this time with Swedish 'Carnal Records' to record a third full length, which will be titled: The Channeling Void.
With artwork from Manuel Tinnemans and 8 tracks of blasting black metal, recorded at Double Noise Studios (Tilburg, The Netherlands) and mastered at Necromorbus Studios (Sweden) this is the worst spell so far.

Necrofilia (San Marino)

I Necrofilia nascono nel 1995 come cover band, la prma formazione era composta
da ZAO ( chitarrra voce), ZAFF (basso e cori), DADO ( chitarre) e CASSA
( batteria). Questa è la formazione fino alla registrazione del primo demo"1997", 
dopo di che , il batterista, CASSA e il chitarrista DADO decidono di lasciare la band.

A sostituirli arrivano subito due elementi dei PUNK-ARRE', CECIO dietro le pelli
e DINO alla chitarra. Nel giro di pochi mesi, i NECROFILIA entrano di nuovo in studio 
nel 1998, e registrano il loro secondo demo "OPEN YOUR SELF" il quale vine recensito
su METAL SHOCK e su varie fanzine. La band comincia a solcare i palchi
dei club riminesi e dintorni(Velvet, Big star, Slego,Kantiere............),
e decide di entrare nuovamente in studio per registrare il loro primo cd,
un meglio dei primi 2 demo piu' alcuni inediti intitolato "WELCOME TO MY MASS".

Il cd viene subito recensito
su METAL HAMMER e METAL SHOCK con ottimi risultati. Nel frattempo
il chitarrista DINO decide di lasciare la band la quale preferisce rimanere
in tre piuttosto che cercare un altro chi tarrista. Nel 2001 i NECROFILIA
vincono il concorso ( oltre 1500 band partecipanti) "Suona col mito" indetto
da METAL SHOCK e si aggiudica la data ROMANA , come supporto a PAUL DI ANNO,
primo cantante dei leggendari IRON MAIDEN. La band comincia a viaggiare per i palchi
di tutta Italia suonando anche come supporto ai BEEMOTH, RAW POWER, NAPALM DEATH, NODE.........
Nel frattempo i NECROFILIA registrano un promo di tre brani, nel luglio 2002 hanno la loro prima intervista su METAL HAMMER, prima rivista in Italia specializzata nell' HM.

ZAFF, CECIO, ZAO

Dopo alcune date in giro per l'italia, la band si accorge che alcuni brani nuovi non rendono come dovrebbero con una sola chitarra e quindi si mettono alla ricerca di un altro chitarrista. Nel settembre 2003 entra a far parte dei NECROFILIA, Marco Togni ex chitarrista della band amica TENUTA. A questo punto il gruppo decide di mettere in un unico cd i brani di "WELCOME TO MY MASS" e del "PROMO 2003" e auto prodursi. Il cd uscirà fine 2003 inizio 2004 e si intitolerà "LOST IN CHAOS."

Stale Corpse (China)

At the end of the Millennium there was some kind of a new wave of chinese extreme metal in Beijing, where the biggest metal scene is presented.

Along with Suffocated, Bloodbath, Ritual Day, Crimson Flagg etc. one of the most important death metal band appeared. In July 1998 Guitarist Zhang Nan alias Mummify and Drummer Zhang Xin started up a thrash metal band named STALE CORPSE.

The first line up also included Vocalist Sun Yu and Wan Tianchi on bass. One month later Zhang Yu was kicked out of the band and Mummify took over the Vocals and changed the Style into deep growling death metal. In September of the same year the band recorded a 3 track Demo incl. "Bleeding", "Dismember" and "Poem Of Death" at Centre Music Studios. Playing some kind of Power Metal with death vocs they gave their virgin live performance in December 1998 in Brothers Bar. May 1991 a new Guitarplayer Han Chao joined the band and turned the rhythem section into more brutal way of death metal.

During the second year, the band's skills of playing encreased alot. With 13 compositions on the back the band recorded a rehearsal tape in September 1999 which title was "The Soundfrom the second layer underground" dedicated to the place of their rehearsal room. In October STALE CORPSE went on a small tour to XuZhou and NanJing exchanging experiences with local bands. Many different gigs followed mostly in Beijing. In the beginning of 2000 the brutal death metal freak Song Yang replaced Wang Tianchi on bass. With that the classic line up of a new rising death metal star was completed.

In April 2000 STALE CORPSE recorded the song "Inscription" for a compilation CD of the SO ROCK Magazine. Short before that they got interviewed bei Channel V (Chn. Music TV) during a rock compitition. With the attention of rock media and various TV shows STATLE CORPSE became a quite wellknown underground act and started giving life shows like mad on every weekend that summer. They almost became THE headliner on most of underground metal gigs in Beijing.

July 2000 they recorded their self produced debut album "Sound of Prison" and published it at the end of the year over So Rock Records nation-wide. This bestial sounding album was also the first death metal album ever released in China. At the release party in December STALE CORPSE also invited Tomahawk, SUFFOCATED, BLOODBATH, RITUAL DAY, PLAYMATE, MULTIELEMENT etc. to performe on stage. Over 300 Visitors came that night. In addition to that, before the offical release of "Sound of Prison", STALE CORPSE also recorded a self produced 6 track EP "Yin-Yang" (chn. title: Xuan Yuan Zhi Lian).

At this point STALE CORPSE has reached the top of Chinas Metal underground. The Band's Chieftain and Producer Mummify found his own underground label called Mn Records. Wishing to catch more attention of the general media they started trying to go further, making their brutal bestial death grind music even more spetacular. A keyboarder Niu Li was invited into the Band adding noisy electro beats to the ultra low tuned music. The whole live performance ended up in an overtuned chaos of musical massacre. Everything was so overdistortioned you won't hear any details of the drumming or the guitars. Mummify developed his own style of death growls in taking the mirophone into his mouth and screams wildly into it to cause an overdriven vocal sound. During the short two years Drummer Zhang Xin encreased his playing skills alot und could establish himself as the first metal drummer doing fast grinding blastbeats. But soon he got tired of it, plus facing some personal problems, he decided to quit. For serveral months they had to performe with drum computer until a new kid named Maomao took over the drum kit. In the whole year of 2001 nothing special happend but always doing small club gigs. Also Guitarist Han Chao lost intrest and left the band.

Around the first half of 2002, a new line up was presented: Mummify on Voc and Guit., Song Yang on Bass, CRIMSON FLAG-Founder Shen Wenchang on 2nd Guit., Niu Li on Keys and Maomao on Drums. But some how the whole thing didn't work out. Mummify's vision was to establish themself in the Rock scene holding the banner of the underground spirit. His experiment to push this underground heros with the promotional concept of mainstream musicians failed because there was simply no intrest for brutal music in the general media circles. It was an intresting idea that could never work at that time. In October, Song Yang, Maomao and Niu Li announced their depart of STALE CORPSE to do their own progressive metal band LAST SUCCESSOR (at least the same self pushing concept of STALE CORPSE seems to work for LAST SUCCESSOR who later became one of the main force of Beijings metal scene). With that Mummify has to set everything more or less on ice and started focusing on his studies in recording technique. He kept away from the metal scene ever since.

The ups and downs of STALE CORPSE was quite a phenomean in the history of chinese underground music. With their efforts they archived to make impossible things possible and opened completely new ways and concepts for upcoming bands in the scene. Maybe the scene of today might be quite different without their archievements. STALE CORSPE is a legend of underground music in China.

Unfortunedly this band couldnt make it until today, Chieftain Mummify call it a day somewhen in 2003 and totally disappeared from the metal scene. The rest of the band kept continue playing together and started up a new band called Last Successor and changed the style into progressive power metal.

Stale Corpse had been interviewed by the Painkiller Heavy Music Magazine for their second issue.

Maniac was formed in 2005, Wuhan, China. Covered some Punk and Hardcore music in their early days, now has turned to be an Old School Thrash Metal/Crossover band. First DEMO "Maniac - We are Maniac" has been released in the Spring of 2010.

Krew (ALEMANHA)

Started as a solo-project by Nimrod in 2008, he decided to found an entire band after getting some positive feedback at his first songs. For this purpose he asked Nihilæus to join him as vocalist in November 2009. Shortly after Taranis and Mort entered the band as bassist and second guitarist. The search for a capable drummer took a while, but with Wulfing they found the right man for that job in July 2010. The band was complete.

A demo CD was released in November 2010.

WitchHammer

It all started in Belo Horizonte (state capital of Minas Gerais - Brazil), in 1986, when four friends Casito, Paulo, Leandro and Teddy decided to assemble WitchHammer. They all had in common the taste for heavy and aggressive music, a style at birth at the time. The country was going through political changes and these four young musicians wanted to have their say. WitchHammer used its language as the affirmation of an identity of inconformity with Minas Gerais State conservatism, in the post dictatorial period in Brazil.

For the whole first year the band dedicated to writing songs and practicing, playing only some gigs. But it was enough to attract headbangers’ attention, as well as the local label, Cogumelo Records, acknowledged as the breeder of great bands such as Sepultura, Sarcófago, Overdose, and Chakal, among others. In 1987 WitchHammer took part in the compilation Warfare Noise II, by Cogumelo Records, with the songs “Weekend In Auschwitz” and “Degradation Process”.

In the following year the band released its first full lenght album, entitled The First and the Last. The recording process was very short and precarious, but the results were satisfactory. Concerts in different places started popping and the band was able to trial the quality and strength of the compositions from both the album and the compilation. The quiet and religious households of Brazilian Popular Music started cracking, in Belo Horizonte and in Brazil.

In 1990 the second full length work was released, Mirror, My Mirror. The album received excellent reviews from public and critics and became thrash metal collector’s item. Mirror, My Mirror presented some innovations, such as the special participation, in 3 songs, of opera singer Sylvia Klein, which resulted in a fusion of styles that was very rare at the time.

Blood On The Rocks, the third album, had been expected with anxiety and was released in 1992. The work was peculiar because it was the first one without Paulo Caetano, for he had moved to the States. Arnaldo Jr., bass player from WitchHammer’s embrionary team, was invited to take his place. Once again the band was really well accepted and one more tour of the Witch started.

Three years had passed until 1995, when the undesirable happened: the band decided to separate due to incompatibility between personal projects of each member. For 6 years, WitchHammer hibernated... but not its former members, who soon got busy with other music projects. Nevertheless, in 2001, as the passion for the Witch was too strong, the return was inevitable. Casito, Paulo, and Teddy tried, but Leandro claimed that he could not take the commitment the band would demand. Igor "Vermelho" took his place. He played several concerts and wrote some songs, but after awhile, decided to leave the band, having the same problem as Leandro.

Rogério Sena, was invited to take the job. As Rogério entered, WitchHammer finished writing and started the recording of Ode to Death, released in 2006. This album was conceived with maturity, allying technical and theoretical abilities in favour of energy and strength, the basis of WitchHamer’s music. Two of the band’s classic songs were re-recorded in Ode to Death, “Weekend in Auschwitz”, from compilation Warfare Noise II, and “Dartherium”, from the album The First and the Last. Added to that, a song called “Perseguição” was recorded, from extinct Sagrado Inferno, one of the pioneering bands of metal in Minas Gerais State, and Brazil.

However, in august of 2008, drummer Teddy left the band after 22 years of dedication. Having no time to waste, WitchHammer did some auditions with drummers, and two months after, Alfredo Malagoli was selected to be part of the family.

New blood means new album, and parallel to the Road to Death Tour, new songs are being prepared for the next full length, to be released in 2011. We are looking forward to seeing you in the next chapter of our history.

Krig

A banda Krig, cujo nome é de origem norueguesa e significa guerra, surgiu em Janeiro do ano de 2007 na cidade de Belo Horizonte-MG. O baixista e guitarrista Isaque Soares (www.isaque.tk) teve a idéia de montar uma banda no estilo Death Metal com letras que falam sobre sobre cristianismo, problemas sociais, política, problemas relacionados à natureza, filosofia, psicologia, contra a manipulação da mídia, contra o fascismo, contra o narcisismo, contra a hipocrisia, e contra todos os padrões capitalistas de consumismo exagerado, etc... Logo após ter gravado o instrumental da primeira música “Bastard Boss”, Isaque decidiu convidar um velho amigo e companheiro de banda chamado Daniell Corpse (Smash the System, FOF,Unnamed, Mercy e ex-Sabbatariam) para ser o vocalista da banda. A princípio a idéia era que a banda fosse somente um projeto de estúdio, mas, em pouquíssimo tempo as coisas foram se encaminhando rapidamente e tomando proporções bem maiores. Eles começaram a gravar o seu primeiro álbum em janeiro do mesmo ano e logo depois no mês de fevereiro sondaram uma possível distribuição do cd que seria a cargo do selo mexicano Alcance Subterrâneo. No final de março de 2007 a banda finalizou as gravações das nove músicas que fazem parte do seu cd “Feed me” que acabou sendo lançado entre outubro e novembro de forma independente. A banda, que até então não passava de um projeto de estúdio, teve uma excelente aceitação por parte do público e da mídia especializada, seu cd estava recebendo críticas muito positivas e vários convites para fazer shows. Então, Isaque e Daniell decidiram que seria melhor chamar mais dois integrantes para compor a banda. Para a guitarra eles chamaram um velho amigo e também companheiro de bandas antigas, Phillippe Levidad (Unnamed, Mercy e ex-Sabbatariam) e para o posto de baterista, Jr. Oliveira (ex- Feel Burning Inside) que se encaixou perfeitamente na proposta da banda. Em outubro de 2007 a banda já estava completa. Depois de alguns meses de ensaios eles conseguem se estruturar e assim começam a fazer seus primeiros shows. Em 2008, Phillipe se muda para Curitiba e então Jully entrou na banda como a baixista, e Isaque assumiu a guitarra ao vivo, como era ele que já gravava as guitarras. Em abril de 2008 a banda lançou o seu segundo cd chamado "Stop The Manipulation", com a participação especial de Luke Renno da banda Americana, Crimson Thorn. Está presente neste cd também a polêmica música da banda G.L.O.B.O, que é uma crítica direta ao Canal de televisão Globo. Alias, toda a proposta do CD segue a linha de alerta a manipulação em massa que a televisão exerce sobre o indivíduo. Em agosto de 2008 Junior deixa a banda e entra na banda Vinicius Soares como novo baterista. No segundo semestre do 2008 gravou o álbum, chamado Target: Human, Mission: Destroy, foi lançado no dia 1° de março de 2009, com o apoio do selo americano Nhmetal. A banda decidiu dar uma pausa nas atividades no ano de 2009. No ano de 2010 foi lançado o CD, Narcissistic Mechanism com misturas de todos cds lançados anteriormente pela banda e recebeu ótimas criticas na mídia especializada mundial e sempre com notas supreriores a 80%, Atualmente a banda está em conversas para o lançamento de um álbum de tributo ao metal cristão, o qual possivelmente será um álbum dublo com releituras de bandas cristãs de todos os estilos, há também a possibilidade de neste álbum ter uma música própria da banda neste CD. Já em relação a novos álbuns cheios, é claro que a banda também pretende gravar materiais inéditos no futuro. Há muitas letras prontas, seguindo a mesma linha que o krig teve deste o começo, com cunho altamente político, defendendo os direitos de todo o cidadão cristão ou não. Para o ano de 2011 são esperadas algumas surpresas pela banda

Thrash Metal puro, sem invencionices ou novas tendências, do jeito que apenas os brasileiros sabem fazer, sem demagogia, é ouvir para entender.

Lançamento oficial de “Time to Rise”

 

Está oficialmente lançado o esperado CD de estréia dos Thrashers do WOSLOM, “Time To Rise”. O CD já se encontra disponível para venda na loja virtual King Dragon (www.kingdragon.com.br) e em breve estará disponível nas melhores lojas de Rock / Metal do país.

O show de lançamento do cd “Time To Rise” acontecerá no dia 13/11 às 22:00 hrs, no Manifesto Bar, endereço Rua Iguatemi, 36C Itaim Bibi- São Paulo/S.P

A banda nasceu em 1997, mas somente 10 anos mais tarde, em 2007, dois dos integrantes originais da banda, Fernando Oster baterista e Francisco Stanich baixista, decidiram tornar realidade o mais importante projeto que eles já haviam feito pela banda.

Naquele momento eles já contavam com o guitarrista Rafael Iak, que se juntou a banda em meados de 2003, e Denis Melatto nos vocais. Todos juntos começaram a criação das músicas e juntar pedaços de composições antigas para o primeiro album da banda. Uma pequena pré-produção foi feita e logo eles entraram no estúdio para gravação do album completo. Durante um ano eles gravaram material para esse album, mas os resultados não estavam deixando a banda contente, e ao lado disso, eles enfrentavam um problema interno. Eles não estavam felizes com o Denis. Denis não estava com o mesmo pensamento, a banda necessitava naquele momento mais que um vocal brilhante, eles precisavam estar muito unidos e juntos na mesma sintonia. E naquele momento eles começaram a pensar no que seria feito – trocar o Denis por um outro vocalista qualquer era um risco, eles poderiam trazer outros tipos de problemas para dentro da banda. E o maior problema, ele poderiam não completar as gravações e lançar o album.

Então eles decidiram diminuir o ritmo das gravações e começaram a procurar por um novo membro. Procuraram por quase 10 meses até finalmente encontrar Silvano Aguilera. Ele já havia tocado com o Rafael muito anos antes, mas acabaram se separarando. Mas agora a banda teve certeza que Silvano era a pessoa certa para o posto. Finalmente em Setembro de 2009, eles retornaram ao estúdio para completar a gravação instrumental e começar toda a regravação dos vocais.

A WOSLOM segue com Silvano Aguilera (Vocal / Guitarra), Rafael Iak (Guitarra),

Francisco Stanich Jr (Baixo), Fernando Oster (Bateria) como formação atual.

Neste ano de 2010, eles estão totalmente focados no lançamento do CD e da banda. As gravações terminaram em Maio e o novo CD está finalmente pronto para mostrar a banda. A missão está apenas começando, eles estão vindo para manter o thrash vivo e banguear até o fim. Esse é o WOSLOM.
